And I absolutely agree with that. Bama will be VERY close, but to me the problem lies in the fact that a D doesn’t have to be that good to confuse our qb, to beat our tackles, to tackle our backs, or to lock most of our receivers down. An adequate “pretty good” D can do all those things to this group. The o line is more confused and unsure than outmatched. That doesn’t inspire a ton of confidence.
the bright spots were the d line held up much better than expected and the linebackers played the run really well. Sure up the middle of the field, and this defense becomes legit.
I think we beat KY because they’re much like us against Florida and they don’t really believe they can beat us, but I believe it will be a battle and if we turn the dang ball over like we did Saturday it’s gonna be ugly.
I said 6-4 when the year started and I still believe that’s what we will do. Truthfully that will be a successful year, and allow JP to continue building this thing.
