According to kenpom.com, our worst loss is #22 Bama. The only other team in the country with their "worst loss that high" is Gonzaga. They also lost to Bama (I believe the Zags lost at home where we lost on the road...also without KC and Fulky). I'm pretty sure we are also the only two teams in the country that haven't had a loss outside of Quad 1.
All that says to me that we beat the teams we should beat. That bodes very, very well for the first couple rounds of the tourney. Get to the S16 and then ball out from there. But the potential of this team to get there (2nd weekend) based on us taking care of business has to make you feel good about surviving the first weekend .
Thought that was a great stat that is definitely overlooked. Duke, I believe, has all 5 of their losses that are worse than any of our losses.
