While I'm sure Butch isn't batting 1.000 on his coaching decisions throughout his however many years in the profession, he's done well enough with his decision making to get where he is now. I'm not guaranteeing that Debord (or whoever else he hires) will be successful but Butch's history suggests that it will.
I'm not going to regurgitate everything that has been posted here but Butch has been successful. Even when this board was up in arms that he brought in Jancek as a DC and when we had a "bunch of bald" guys coaching for us, his staff was able to show an unbelievable ability to recruit despite 4 straight years of sub .500 records and hardly any talent.
He knows how to be successful. I hope (and I'm sure he won't) try to placate the folks on this board and throughout the fanbase that need a guy who they've heard of or looks the part. He will hire the guy that is the best fit and gives the program the best chance to keep improving and win.
If you have a problem with that, you just have a feeble mind and don't want to get made fun of on the MB or a by a co-worker.
