If Fulmer is named AD quickly, could he open new doors to assistant coaches

who would work well with Butch but otherwise wouldn't have been a possibility without him? An example would be Clemson's Marion Hobby who is very familiar with Fulmer. Besides ex-Vol players turned coaches, I'd say Fulmer still knows quite a few in the coaching world. Perhaps a very good up and coming qb coach who close friend David Cutcliffe thinks highly of who may not be on our radar now? With Fulmer's expertise as far as the OL goes, I bet he already has ties to very good coaches if Butch decides to part ways with Mahoney.

To sum it up, would Fulmer be able to help Butch land even better assistants with his network who may not be on the list of possibilities right now? Some say Butch is stubborn and he may be, but when his seat could be becoming warm soon, I think he'd be wise to consult with Fulmer about hires and seek ideas from him to right the ship.

@Brent_Hubbs and the board, I'd like to hear your thoughts on this.
