Big 12 is exploring expansion. What schools would/could they add? How do you think it affects the SEC, if at all? How will it affect UT?
My first thought is on the message coming out of Memphis that they would look to potentially jump in the Big 12. That would be an interesting move for a lot of reasons, chief among them being the Big 12's entry into the Memphis media market and a foothold in the Memphis region for recruiting. While UofM currently is an afterthought to many recruits, what happens when they are tilting against Texas and Oklahoma each year in even bigger nationally televised games. Not to mention, Middle Tennessee's development as a recruiting hotspot could get even more competitive.
