I can't think of too many better ways to pass a Saturday at home than listening to John Ward call a classic Vol victory. I was in the Superdome for the game in 1986, but that experience would have been so much better with John Ward playing through the sound system.
By the way, a little trivia about that game. I am not absolutely positive about this, but for those who remember this game vividly, the Tennessee band was allowed to be on the field pregame and form the Power T for the team to run onto the field. To my knowledge, that was the last time that a bowl game allowed that. I believe the reaction that night forced the NCAA to pass a rule making that illegal.
