We beat Ga in week 3. It's going to happen. First of all, GA isn't Alabama and should never be talked about as though they are. They aren't this unbeatable juggernaut. As long as Kirby is on the sideline, they are going to remain beatable. They lost to Will Muschamp last year, a team that we beat by 3 touchdowns.

But here is why we are going to beat them: their offense is going to be atrocious. Ga's offense was very bad last year, and that was with a very good QB in Jake Fromm. It was so bad, in fact, that they fired their OC and went out and hired Monken who isn't very impressive if you ask me. But, that struggling offense is now going to be installing a brand new offensive system, with no spring practice to help with the install. But what makes that even harder, is that GA only returns two starters to their offense. That's it. Their offensive line is going to struggle in a big way. It is likely that they have to start at least one, if not two freshmen on that offensive line. While they are talented, early in the year, that OL is going to struggle. At RB, this isn't the typical GA RB group. Swift or Chubb ain't walking through that door and they are going to struggle even more behind that completely inexperienced offensive line. At receiver, they return one starter with Blaylock having torn his ACL. Pickens is good, but he isn't Amari Cooper, he isn't a game changer.

And finally, as we all know, they are going to be really bad at QB. Their all everything future Heisman winner (according to their fans) has now opted out. Now, GA fans are spinning this by saying that JT Daniels is better anyway! But there is a problem with that. First, JT Daniels was bad as a freshman throwing, if memory serves, 11 interceptions against the pathetic defenses in the pac 12. And, as we all know, he tore his ACL and he still hasn't recovered and hasn't been cleared for contact. Word on the street coming out of GA is that he is still hobbled and isn't 100%. Even if he is 100% by the start of the season, he's learning a completely new offense, with a completely new OL, brand new receivers, with a new OC and he's going to be limited in what he can do leading up to the season. This is why, if you read the GA boards, many are saying that Dwan Mathis is going to be the starter. He's a redshirt freshman who has never played a snap of college ball and he has to learn to lead this brand new offense with basically 0 experience around him. Good luck. By November GA may be fine. But in week 3 they're going to be struggling on offense.

Further, they play AU the week before us. They are going to lose that game. I do not believe that their offense going against a well coached and talented AU defense with an improved offense behind a talented and experienced QB in BO Nix, can score enough points to win. AU will beat them in week 2.

Which means that TN will come to town, 2-0 riding high believing they can win, while GA is already reeling realizing that their championship hopes are dashed. Do more players opt out at that point? Where is their morale? We'll head to Athens against a 1-1 GA team with limited fans in the stadium so home field advantage isn't going to matter. That offense is then going to have to go against our defense. We may not be the most talented, but we are talented at every position, and we are experienced at every position. Our DL is going to give that inexperienced OL of GA fits and you know that Pruitt/Ansley will throw everything at that inexperienced QB to confuse him. That's a game where our defense will dominate.

Ga's big advantage is in their talented defense. They are loaded on defense. But, we have one of the best OL's in the conference if not the best which should give us opportunities to move the ball. Heck, Maurer in his first start put up 14 on them in the first half last year. Surely we can do better than that with this improved OL and (hopefully) improved QB play. I know, JG! Just don't turn the ball over, and TN gets out of Athens with a 24-10 type of win.

TLDR version: 4-0 when Bama comes to town baby! Let's goooooooooooo!!!!!!!!
