There are so many reasons to do it and virtually no reasons not to:
Reasons for doing it:
1. If he's truly a 5 star QB, then he will learn via experience and only get better each game
2. If he's not a 5 star QB, and he looks awful and never gets any better, then it will help us recruit a better QB or two as they see how desperate we are for a good QB
3. This season is already a bust. Losing at home to Kentucky like we just did at home has already ruined the season. There is nothing to play for other than the future. The fans will give Pruitt a chance if he shows that he gets this and starts a youth movement.
4. The apathy of the fanbase if he keeps rolling JG out there is going to be massive. I already have three friends who never miss games, who are not going to watch Saturday. Someone has to get to Pruitt and let him know how high the risk is for him right now of losing this fan base.
5. He needs to announce it now and stop with the stupid shit about earning it in practice. Bailey should be getting all the first-team reps and it should not be a secret.
Reasons for not doing it:
1. The only one I can think of is you hurt HB confidence by rolling him out there too early, but if he's a true 5 star, he should love the chance to play, so I think this one is bunk.
