the path of expecting a coaching change in THREE YEARS! I've heard it on call in shows and seen it on other boards. What the hell is wrong with you people? Do you not understand that it's common knowledge that it takes a year to implement new systems? We're doing it on both sides of the ball. This has been a season of uneven performances where literally our mistakes are magnified because we don't have the talent or playmakers to overcome mistakes. We don't have any blazing receivers although we have two that are big and physical. Our running backs are lower half of the league. I'm not sure Chandler starts for anybody else, although he is versatile and would have a role for most. Our oline could have been pretty good with Kennedy and a healthy Smith. We're the worst in the league.
Our d line is fair, our linebackers are lower tier, our secondary is fair even though or corners could develop into special players. Our qb who is the most maligned can eventually be outstanding. We've got to solve a myriad of problems with recruiting but we can't sign enough players to cover up all of our problems. I still think we can be as good as Butch's best teams next year. Remember, his second best team was an abomination on defense. We have everybody coming back on offense. 9-4 is doable if you look at the schedule. Missouri,Vandy,Kentucky,and Miss St will take big steps backwards. Locke,Shurmur, and Fitzgerald are some of the best qbs they've ever had. BYU is terrible and we play three bums. We get Carolina in Neyland...a team that has squeaked by us the last three years. Anything less than 9-3 would be a disappointment. It's not that hard. Who's going to be any good in the nine teams I mentioned?
