Do you not understand how thrilled we should be at what Pruitt has done so far?

... if any of Tennessee’s previous football coaching staffs had been floating offers and fighting to get OV’s this late in the game from 3* GA Southern and former Duke commits this close to NSD - the meltdown would have been unreal.


I’m looking forward to seeing how it all finishes up in a week and a half.

Yeah 1 year into their tenure maybe

This is a completely different animal than we’ve ever seen before. When Pruitt took over he had like a week and a half to recruit before 75% of the available players out there signed their LOI

Now he only has a small selection left to choose from, meaning more competition, and is years behind the other schools we’re recruiting against

What he’s done so far is actually remarkable under the circumstances:

-4 star Top 100 LB Peterson OVER BAMA
-4 star #1 JUCO TE OVER BAMA
-4 star JUCO DE/LB
-4 star RB
-4 star OT
-4 star WR (On TOS)
-4 star JUCO AA OT (On TOS)

Currently have LEGIT shots at:
-5 star CB (Griffin)
-5 LB (Walker) (On TOS)
-4 star CB (Smith)
-4 star WR (Copeland)

And still in the running for a ton of other 4/5 star players that weren’t considering us before

Unbelievable that anybody could complain about recruiting right. We’re lucky that 10-15 spots aren’t going to be filled by 2/3 star fallback players
