I will start with a few simple ones, but feel free to chime in with some more thoughts. Try to keep any emotion out of this and simply reflect on the on-field improvements or regressions for Team 120 as compared to Team 119.
QB - Dobbs has improved a bit with throwing the ball deep, but his interceptions have increased dramatically (partially good luck that he didn't throw more last year, as a number were dropped).
RB - Hurd did not improve as a runner, based on results
OL - Seems to have regressed substantially from 2015 to 2016 season. Kerbyson was the only personnel loss, injuries have been pretty devastating for 2016, with Chance Hall's injury being one of the biggest factors. 2016 OL seems to fail to get push in the run game, and has performed poorly in pass protection
TE - No appreciable improvement from Wolf (may partially be due to Dobbs and targeting WRs more in 2016 than 2015). No notable great blocking from the TE position.
DL - Barnett has improved from his already exceptional level. Vereen seems to have failed to improve from 2015 to 2016. Tough to gauge Tuttle considering his injury. McKenzie may have lost a bit too much weight from 2015 to 2016.
LB - With the injuries to Kirkland, JRM, and Sapp, very tough to gauge year-over-year difference at all.
CB - Martin being in the doghouse makes it tough to gauge him much. Sutton's injury hurts the whole secondary considerably. Moseley still seems to play too soft and give massive cushions at times.
Safeties - TK Jr. is pretty good, but the lack of combined speed between he and Abernathy has been somewhat apparent. Elliott Berry seems to finally be coming around a bit at safety.
Special Teams - Trevor Daniel has remained very solid. Aaron Medley has remained a bad option on long field goals. Elliott Berry is still a terror as a KR. Sutton and Kamara have both been hurt. Our coverage teams may have regressed a bit. So, overall, not a huge change on special teams other than some penalties (and the "non-targeting" in College Station).
