The international article linked below provides more insight into Pons than I have seen elsewhere. He has lived in France since he was adopted at age 4, and his English is limited. But he says he is interested in getting a college degree and not just coming to the U.S. to play ball. He had some knee issues in the past, which may have impacted his skill development. But his shot may be improving as he made 4 of 5 threes in a recent Adidas tournament, where he wore "bright orange shoes" (could be a sign!). The article has a great photo of Pons with Barnes in TBA.
