ESPN issued a correction Monday afternoon after it was seemingly tricked into publishing a story that falsely said Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Chan Gailey had been fired. The story, which appeared to be written by the network's news desk, said that a "source told ESPN's Adam Schefter" of the purported news.

Texas legislators are joining the national push to enact laws giving college athletes rights to cash in on their name, image and likeness just in case the NCAA fails to move forward. State Rep. Matt Krause, R-Fort Worth, has filed legislation for the session beginning Jan. 12 that would allow athletes at Texas, Texas A&M and any other institution in the state to work with an agent and sign legal contracts.

- The NCAA made official its plan to hold the entire 2021 men's basketball tournament in the Indianapolis area in an effort to limit travel amid the COVID-19 pandemic, with games played at Lucas Oil Stadium, Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Butler's Hinkle Fieldhouse, Indiana Farmers Coliseum, Purdue's Mackey Arena and Indiana University's Assembly Hall. Most teams will stay in hotels connected to the Indiana Convention Center, which will be used as a practice facility, and the Final Four remains scheduled for April 3-5 at Lucas Oil Stadium. (ESPN)
