I was on a plane yesterday and checking in on GQ before take off. Guy next to me sees I'm reading a Tennessee message board and says my friend's son just signed (he means committed to) with Tennessee. I asked the kid's name and it was Chase Rogers. He then said without prompting that Chase was just offered by ole miss. I asked if he thought he'd stick with UT. He answered - and I'm paraphrasing here - that he was sure Chase would stick with UT. Said his dad was adamant about it and about keeping his word. Said Chase was excited about the ole miss offer but because he wanted to hopefully get more stars so he could up his profile and that of UT's class. Also said he's a really good kid and good family. This guy may not know a thing about football so consider the source but he felt like we were getting a good one.
