QB is almost always considered the most important position on the field. Even with the cyclical nature of football, a good QB is often considered to be the key position on the field. That having been said, a dominant defensive line seems to be the key to winning today's game.
Specifically, Denver was not relying on a dominant Peyton Manning of old to win a championship, but a dominant defensive line. Today, I saw this stat:
"Defending national champion Alabama recorded an FBS-best 53 sacks in 2015. The next-closest team was the Crimson Tide’s CFP title game opponent, Clemson, which had 48 sacks."
Is there any chance that Defensive Line might be the key indicator for winning football championships over the next several years?
