Hearing one of the staff changes could involve Helfrich as a co-coordinator with Debord. Debord focusing on OL while keeping the co-coordinator title, and Helfrich coming in as the primary QB coach and getting a co-coordinator title. Wasn't clear who would have primary play-calling responsibilities.

I think this would be a home run for Butch. Debord has a great mind and is a great preparer who lacks, at times, spontaneity in playcalling. You could see Helfrich helping him there in a big way while helping to develop our QBs to truly excel in the current system.

This would mean, at least as I see it, that AZ is gone, seeing how there wouldn't be much room or utility for a "passing game coordinator" and it would be the second time he would have been passed over. Hard to see a future him for him as OC here just given the climate. The other question is what happens with Gillespie in this scenario. Gotta think he gets another raise and title, but if Helfrich and Debord are co-coordinators, does Butch give Gillespie an honorary title there? Would he stay and is this question affected at all by Helfrich or would Gillespie be looking to make a move anyway?

All I know is Robert Gillespie must stay. His development of John Kelly is nothing if not top-class, and he recruits with the best.
