Why is it so hard for some to understand that this truly is a throw away year. This year was played for the sake of TV revenue...period. Sure, we all wish things would have gone differently and Pruitt has struggled, but most of that falls on QB problems. We all knew what JG is, but without a spring practice and HB going through two Covid quarantines and with Maurer hurt much of the preseason, we were stuck with JG. I love the guy and his grit, but he sucks the life out of the team.

I was listening to the NFL Network today and one of the long time commentators and a guy who knows his business, Pat Kirwan, said bad QB play, even if you have a good defense, etc., will absolutely suck the life out of a team. If you can't score, turn it over, or have numerous 3 and outs, the defense get's discouraged, loses motivation, gets run down, etc. In other words, it bleeds over to every facet of the team. He was largely talking about the Chicago Bears. They have a killer defense, but their offense is putrid, especially at QB.

If Pruitt doesn't play HB the rest of the year, then I think that's a bad mistake. He may be searching for wins by continuing to stay with JG, but wins are irrelevant the rest of the year IMO. You gotta see what you have for next year.
