Of course the proof will be in the pudding but the more I see from him the more impressed I am. We all know he is an exceptional recruiter, a great defensive mind, and a DB guru. We also know he is going to be heavily involved with the defense and will be helping coach the defensive backs. But this guy is a FB junkie, loves coaching and absorbs everything. In his recent interview when asked about the offense heading into the scrimmage he didn’t miss a beat. He knows what he’s doing on that side of the ball and based on his offensive recruiting he knows offensive talent. Now I am sure he is trusting and getting an awful lot of his information from his offensive staff but he knows and understands offense as well. Going to be fun to watch and no doubt like any first time head coach there will be mistakes made and a significant learning curve. But this guy has a plan, knows what he’s doing, and really gets it IMO.
