At Oklahoma after reading a couple articles he was credited big time for revolutionizing Oklahoma's offense into the power house it has been after they were getting a little stagnant with Stoops closing out his career.
His QBs at OU:
Sam Bradford
Landy Jones
Trevor Knight- crazy Sugar Bowl performance and then regressed when Heupel left
Utah State:
Made a QB switch mid year to some guy named Kent Myers had 1,600 passing yards with 16 TDs and 3 INTs
Missouri:
Drew Locke- went from being very inconsistent to a force with Heupel
UCF:
McKenzie Milton- Heisman buzz guy
Dillon Gabriel- had to play as a freshman when Milton was injured:
Fr- 3,653 passing yards with 29 TDs and 7 INTs
Soph- 3,570 passing yards with 32 TDs and 4 INTs in less games
And Gabriel isn't much a runner.
As a QB himself:
Heisman runner up and 20-5 as a starter.
Give the guy a blank check for his defense.
Tennessee will have Hendon Hooker, Harrison Bailey and Kaidon Salter. Josh Heupel will get them playing at a high level.
Ty Simpson would eat in this offense.
