”@This team with the mass exits they had is not bad. If you really think about how many kids transferred out and are starting at other programs, and those in 2 deeps it’s amazing "8”that this staff was able to put together any type of respectable lineup to this point.
Tennessee is a crap program at this point, face it. Time for people to realize where this program is. Full grown adults have never seen this program as a winner.
this defense played well above their talent level against Pitt. That was one of the best defensive efforts Tennessee has had since Derek Barnett was here. That team wasn’t even that good defensively DB was just a different level player. (This defense was by no means great, but they actually pulled out a few stops, and made some real plays - as a team) the Defense has looked better through 2 games then it ever did under Pruitt.
this offense is close to being really good. Milton has to learn to throw with touch (will start hitting those deep shots if he can) must learn how to get 1st downs rushing too, he can’t be 1 yard away and make a lateral move, has to lower that should take contact and fall forward.
WR’s have to catch any balls that touch their body. No excuses have soft hands and you can catch bullet passes. Over the years I have seen a bunch of guys throw the ball pretty hard at the college and NFL level, and haven’t seen this level of drops. I really like Hyatt, I think he is the most skilled player on this roster, but he has hurt Milton more than anyone so far. 3 monster drops.
Milton simply can’t miss a pass to a guy running down field with no one within 20 yards in any direction.
this team has 3 RB’s that will have real roles. Evans is probably the best. He is a complete back. Wright has the most speed and smalls is pretty good, at everything except being a power back.
this oline has been better than any line in the last 3 years.
coaching staff has to figure out short yardage plays at this level. Can’t feed it up the middle with a 175lb rb starting from a stand still in the shotgun. Perfect opportunity to run Beckwith in the wildcat in those 1 yard or less situations.
