i have made it perfectly clear I would have apprehensions promoting any position coach to be an OC over getting a high end proven commodity. There are just too many unknowns particularly play calling for the first time. That being said I have a ton of respect for Scott's abilities and potential. He has obviously been a very big part of game plan preparations. You can't underestimate the value of being cool and calm under pressure. The players love him. He is a fine recruiter with DEEP roots in Florida. He knows our system and our players. He has had some administrative experience if only as a intrum head coach. The guy has a load of pluses. Sure it will be on the jof training and there will be a learning curve. But I can understand the hire, easily get behind it, and appreciate that it could turn out to be a very good move.
