Bought a house back in November and the yard is not great. A lot of weeds, dead spots, thin grass and places where trees have been cut. My question is being springtime what is the process I need to take to have a nice lawn for spring/summer? I can't do sod because it was quoted at about $25k. Close to an acre and I don't mind killing it off with round-up, tilling and seeding if that's what it takes. I know it's hard work but don't mind it one bit. I Know little to nothing about lawns so if you could list the steps of what I need to do it would be greatly appreciated along with what all I would need to get such a seed, lime, tiller etc. any sort of treatments or possible top soil etc.
Thanks
