LT: Wayna, Johnson/One of the RT or Mays
LG: Trey, Chris A
C: Kennedy, Carvin, Lampley
RG: Mays, Carvin
RT: Calbert/Wright, Mays
I really like this unit, a lot. I would love to see someone own that RT job, because that means Calbert or Wright are playing up to their potential.
We have 5 guys who have taken reps at tackle and were serviceable, at a minimum. Now, two of those are our starting guards, but almost every tackle would be a better guard so I’m not concerned about that.
We also have plenty of maneuverability with guys who can play more than one position, keeping our best 5 on the field.
Aaaaand the best news of all, not a first year player anywhere close to the two deep.
I have my concerns about our offense as a whole. Jesse’s piece on lost WR production being a good indicator of how good an offense is doesn’t bode well for us... But with a decent stable of RB’s and a really good defense... this OL could grind out a 10 win season for us.
