US would be very competitive if not dominant in both 7s and 15s if not for the profitability and popularity of perusing football and basketball in this country.
I know people have made the same argument about soccer, but I'm not so sure there... we will always lack coaching and skill development for soccer...
Rugby however, I think is more about the athletes.
