Hart has proven to be a really good AD here and UT needs to make a homerun hire to maintain momentum. Lats look at his accomplishments:
Football: Much improved (Can't be argued)
Men's Basketball: maybe a little worse. Men's basketball didn't have sustained success previous to him and hasn't since. One bad hire one possible decent hire. Mishandled the Conzo situation.
Women's basketball: Worse, but lets be honest, Pat Summit was coach when he started so it would be worse no matter who he hired.
Track: MUCH better
Baseball: Wash. He didn't hire Serrano. Baseball was bad before, still is.
Softball: No change
Department Finances: WAY better. He inherited a deficit and a terrible business model (thanks Hamilton). He has done a fantastic job getting us out of that hole (although I really don't like his Mike deal).
Academics: Hired Dr. Scoggin and currently have the best student athlete GPA in UT history.
Lady Vol thing: He really ticked off the blue hairs that care about women's basketball who are too dumb to realize that the women's basketball program are still the Lady Vols. This is big Win for Hart in my book.
Pred hates him: Big win for Hart in my book.
He ruffled some feathers, but overall he has done a wonderful job. People around here have a short memory when it comes to thinking the grass is greener. Fulmer/Kiffin. Be careful what you wish for.
