“We’ve mentioned July as the next key date when it comes to the baseball stadium as the new fiscal year can bring about some construction. Obviously the work there will be done in phases and the underbelly of the stadium for the player is a major priority. As they work through those phases it won’t be a surprise if there’s some more expansion of the outfield porches in some way.
The continued success and popularity of the program has changed some thoughts on the renovations from where they were a year ago when AD Danny White arrived inheriting a stadium woefully behind most in the SEC.”
1) Safe to say the player development phase will happen first? Practically that is the most important aspect for player improvement.
2) On the porches- would they entertain a 3rd level. I know many people who have sat out there who say it is an amazing experience and many companies wanting a porch next year who couldn’t get them this year. Think a 3rd level would add even more of an enclosed feel to LNS which is unique. Is a 3rd level feasible?
3) Spit balling from me- can they fill down the right field line? That gap between the field and the cages seems rec league field to me. Doesnt look good.
Thought from me - move those garage doors on the frat house side and have a tunnel under stands you build so players can walk from locker room to the cages. Make that an awesome student section area near the field and have it lead up to the standing area they are at now. Give them that entire area and have them turn it into their space.
IMO have to get the students a section to be involved. Up top in the right field area isn’t good and half the students can’t see the field.
4) Bonus- I have heard it mentioned publicly that Tony wants more portable seats for tournament time. Is that going to be a reality?
