Here is how we play this game, you post your picks in this thread BEFORE the games start. Please don't be like rednav, MisterV, whoever and post picks AFTER the games and then just call everyone else a square and claim to go 39-0 ATS. I did pretty well last year in posting these picks so it may be time to fade me. These are the games that stick out to me this week. I hate that all of these are on Thursday night with the exception of the Florida game. I may add some Saturday depending on how Thursday goes.
App State @ Tennessee -20
LIne has moved down from 21. It's not that I don't respect App State, but lesser Vol teams in the past absolutely destroyed and covered similar type teams in the past few years (Utah State, Bowling Green, etc.). I don' think App State is going to do much on offense. Tennessee should have short fields all night with a vastly superior return game which will lead to points.
Umass @ Florida -35.5
I hate Florida, but in the in beginning of the year, they come and demolish lesser opponents like Umass. Florida could play bad and still win this game 45-7.
Tulane +17 @ Wake Forest
Willie Fritz is Tulane's new coach and all he does is win. He knows how to coach the offensive side of the ball with whatever he's given and can adapt to any style. He'll figure out a way to score enough points and cover as Wake will struggle to score points on there side. I could see Tulane even winning this game straight up.
Rice +17 @ WKU
WKU has been rolling the last few years. They have to replace their best QB in history, Brandon Doughty, which will slow them down a little bit. Rice had a ton of injuries last year and get all of them back. With it being the first game of the year, their lack of depth won't hurt them here so I'll take 17 points and David Bailiff coached team.
Oregon State +13 @ Minnesota
Yes, I know Oregon State is terrible but there is still hope in the beginning of they year. Minnesota covering 13 points asking a lot.
