I'm looking to get a tablet during the holidays, but I haven't kept up with the market at all. There are a lot of tablets out there now compared to a couple of years ago.
Main reasons: I just want something more portable for browsing, emailing, and other lighter applications. I want to increase the lifespan of my MacBook Pro (Retina, mid-2012) which does the majority of my heavy applications: Parallels, Excel, MATLAB, etc.... Probably switching back to an iPhone soon, so it would be nice to have 3-way connectivity between devices.
I'm looking at the iPad Air 2, specifically. Does anyone have this particular model? If so, pros/cons?
If anyone has an android/microsoft tablet, how do they stack up?
