It’s still baffling to me that every single metric they use for the selection process had Tennessee in the 2 seed range and they still chose not to put them there for reasons nobody knows. The tournament is simply all about matchups and the draw. Getting a pre-season top 5 Michigan team who had an All-American as a second round draw was the worst possible matchup any top seed had in the second round. I don’t think it’s a coincidence Duke ended up making the FF with the spot that should have rightfully been ours.
