If the Vols had quit at the half and allowed Florida to win the game going away, it would have been devastating to the Vols in the perception of the Vols program among non-Vols football lovers around the nation, among the media across the nation, and in the eyes of the recruits.

The Vols hosted what is likely their biggest group of top recruits that they will this season. It was not just the recruits in this class, which is almost filled. It was for the future classes of recruits, who were here.
