If he doesn't play, it's absurd at this point. JG does not give us the best chance to win anything, and if he does, that's a bigger indictment on CJP in Year 3 than anything else. It's pathetic, and clear coaching malpractice to only have JG and then nothing else.
I can't describe how disappointed and upset I am with respect to CJP, Chaney, Weinke and the QB room. That operation is a joke right now. We literally are a QB away from being a very good football team. Haha, we are, guys, and that's what's so sad about the team right now. Tennessee should be 3-1 with an inside shot at 7-3 overall, but we're not because we keep trotting the same damn guy out there.
I was behind JG even after UGA, and I was even behind him after the first pick six, but when the team quit last Saturday after halftime, and they did; they quit guys, that was it. You can't sacrifice progress with JG any more. Practice is overrated. Of course, JG does well in practice, THERE'S NO PRESSURE. Pressure is the problem, haha.
If we're gonna throw 3 picks and lose to Kentucky, I'd rather see them thrown by Maurer than by JG and Shrout, two guys we know have no future here whatsoever. Maurer very well may not have a future here either, but he gave us a spark last year and he makes plays. If we're gonna have pick 6s galore and no offensive production because of the QB, I'd rather have a guy that can run around a little bit and who will try and make a play as opposed to being scared of making a mistake like JG is at this point. You can't live like that; you can't play sports like that. The kid's broken; let's move on.
CJP told his team they wouldn't give into fear. Oh yea, show it yourself dude. Take a chance on another QB because Scared Money Don't Make Money.
Play Maurer and get Bailey ready for after the Bye. There's no downside to doing so and only upside at this point.
