Watching Maurer last year I thought he was going to be really good. I know he didn’t light up the scoreboard and had more Ints that TD’s but he looked decisive in his decision making, got the ball out quickly, seemed like he had good football IQ and could “feel” pressure when he was looking down field. He has a strong arm and seemed above average athletically and most of all didn’t look scared in the moment. What we saw Saturday just blows my mind at how far he has regressed. Am I way off here in thinking Maurer looked like he had something different about him that we were excited about?
