I am not in anyway insinuating that we will or can be a good SEC defense next year. But we just barely missed on what potentially could have been a real difference maker coming off the edge. Is it not reasonable to to expect that we can help our pass rush and back end, LB to markedly? Their are a LOT of proven productive players at all those positions in the portal that would be significant upgrades over some of our current projected 22 starters. A solid or better pass rusher, LB, and a couple solid or better DBs should strengthen our defense quite a bit. This seems like a reasonable goal and expectation to me.
