(1) Is there any prior staff connection to Tommy Zagorski (the QC coach helping w OL)? Did he coach or play with a current staff number? Or is there a Welton/Cleveland connection there? Just curious on the story, if there is one.
(2) We basically have at least four OL coaches right now, with Debord, Mahoney, Zagorski and Falaise. Is there any discernable division of labor there (esp. with the two younger guys)? That is, does Zagorski work primarily with the inside guys and Falaise with the tackles? Or vice versa?
(3) You guys have seemed to indicate that any experimentation with Jashon at center likely ended with the Jackson injury. Why is that? Is it because Crowder is unquestionably one of the best 5 at this point? Because if not, I don't really understand why the logic changes? It's get the best 5 on the field. So if they like what Kendrick is doing at LG and what Jones is doing at RG, then shouldn't it still be in play as part of the overall OL competition to find the best 5? Or did Jashon really need the practice time there that he has been missing?
(4) Jack Jones seems to play with noticeably good leverage (esp. for a true freshman) in the few clips we have seen. Is that consistent with your lengthier view and/or things you hear from guys who watch practice and know a lot more about football? Obviously it would have been ideal to let Jones develop in the S&C program for another year before being put in the mix. But that's not where we are as an OL. And playing with good technique will help.
(5) Assuming no center, do you expect Jashon to work at both guard spots when he returns?
(6) Do you expect Hall to get some work at guard now (to go along with his work at LT) as we try to build adequate depth? If I recall correctly, that's where he worked for most of spring, so it's not like it would be brand new.
