Contract runs through Jan. 31, 2027, it goes to Jan. 31, 2028 if Vols get a post-season ban or a reduction in scholarships of 8 or more.
Salary is 4 million.
Buyout if Heupel is fired without cause is 100% of his pay if it occurs before Dec. 15, 2023, then it drops to 75% till Dec. 15, 2025, then it goes to 50% after Dec. 15, 2025
If Heupel chose to leave then he would owe 8 million before Dec. 15, 2022, then it drops to 6 million till Dec. 15, 2023, then 4 million December 14, 2024 then drops one million a year each year after.
Tennessee owes Central Florida a little over 3 million for his buyout to come work here.
