Believe it or not I think it is going to make the Football landscape more even. You have had too many big time programs stock piling talent and kids not wanting to leave because they don’t want to sit a year. The years of big time talent just sitting on the bench for years is over. This will allow lesser teams that can’t land 6 five stars in a recruiting class to get great talent that is ready to play out of the portal. I believe you’ve already seen it help teams this year. It definitely helped our defense this year.
Of course those big programs will land transfers too, but at some point you have to choose if you’re gonna land more high school guys or portal guys. At first I didn’t know what I thought about it but this is actually going to really aid us in building a program. Transfer portal guys for us this year have almost all been hits. We will need to hit it hard this coming recruiting cycle.
