1. The Ghost Whistle - Tennessee vs Alabama 2019, with TN driving, trailing 14-7 in the second quarter, the Vols were set, and shifted to a wildcat formation with Guarantano rolling out to receiver. Alabama's defense looking not-too-ready for that play at this point... the referees step in and blow the whistle for the strangest reason: there wasnt a really viable reason given. The ball was simply respotted.

2. 2014s Arkansas - Alabama game, when Ref Penn Wagers (great name for a crooked ref) didnt follow the rule book following a false start by Alabamas OL with about a minute remaining. He simply spotted the ball and started the clock, rather than on the snap (as rules dictate) and ate about 35 seconds off the game clock for the Tide during Arkansas's final drive. The refs also didnt pay attention to Biliema, to call timeout as I can remember on the next play, costing them more time.

3. 2013, Alabama vs Tennessee. Following Tennessee's punt and Alabama's fair catch, there was a personal foul called. No refs could give any indication about who it was on. Many in the media cited that it appeared that the officiating crew was communicating with someone off the field. For a personal foul called, it took nearly 3 minutes for any official to give any indication about who it was on, and what for....
Strange? In a review of the incident, former head of NFL officiating stated that the series of events that tranpired, and the timing of it, certainly looked questionable in his mind.

4. 2015 Officiating-Gate: A group of statisticians pull the book open on refs and Alabama. One surprising stat for the prior eight year period, Alabama recorded only 55 holding calls and zero holding penalties during nearly 65% of its games during that time. It seems that a few teams had multiples of that amount in the same time period. Surprisingly, they recorded much fewer holding calls whenever trailing in games.. and I believe a lot more during games which were out of hand/in their favor. Statistically something seemed off.... with numerous sportswriters and media folk picking this up. Follow up; 2018s Alabama vs Mississippi State game -- Alabama: zero penalties; meanwhile an early MS State touchdown is called back for a phantom flag....
