Hate it for the kid but ultimately it yields 2 things:
More playing time for a talented group of freshmen and sophomores who need as much PT as possible this year. The more minutes for Bone, Bowden, Shembari, and Parker, the better IMO.
Another scholly. Barnes has proven he can identify talent and we have some talented kids we're pursuing. The Pons kid is a difference maker and immediate upgrade on the wing. And if he likes the big kid from Kansas, it's good with me.
Never happy to see a kid dismissed from school but at the end of the day, it's good for the long term health of the program. I don't think Rick and Mostella ever saw totally eye to eye.
