Was a 30 plus yr Air Force vet......started out as a radio repairmen then went into the air corps as a bombardier on B-17s during WWII later became a radar navigator on B-53s where he stayed thru the Korean War until he was promoted to a squadron commander during Vietnam.....retired in 1976 as a full bird....his career highlight was a year in Greenland in the late 50s where their mission was to map Russia from extremely high altitudes received a distinguished flying cross for that ..greatest man I've ever known.....
My 92 yr old grandfather was put in hospice today...
