On what I've seen this season. By the way this is just for fun and in no way saying I know more than Vitello for you triggered people.

1. Drew Gilbert CF
2. Luc Lipcius 1B
3. Jorel Ortega 2B
4. Trey Lipscomb 3B
5. Mike Honcho RF
6. Evan Russel C
7. Christian Moore DH
8. Logan Steenstra SS
9. Jared Dickey/Christian Scott LF

Even though Drew historically has not started at the top of the line up because of his big play ability I think his game play has changed a little this year. The guy hasn't hit the long ball but what he has done this year is get in base with walks and base hits. That's what you need from your lead off. Get on base.

Luc is another guy that has the power but what he is good at is battling at the plate and getting on base by walks or base hits. That's why I like him in the 2 hole.

Ortega another guy that has the power and is our all around best hitter and is really hot right now. Like him in the 3. You'll notice I put him at DH. He has been playing better defense as of late but still believe we have better defensive players at that position on our roster. But definitely can't keep him out of the lineup. (Edit agree with some Ortega is playing good defense at this moment vs earlier. Keep him at 2B Moore to DH.)

Trey not much to say here. Loves the long ball and good at clearing bases.

Evan and Honcho not much to say here either both guys got the power and playing excellent ball. Just a nightmare to play Ortega, Trey, Honcho, and Evan all in a row.

Christian Moore I believe is a star in the making and he will be a TN house hold name before he leaves. Tons of talent and though he has struggled at times I believe you can't keep him off the field because he has so much potential. One of the best athletes on the field and a great 2B. Defensively I believe he can give more than Ortega. (Edit agree with some Ortega is playing good defense at this moment vs earlier. Keep him at 2B Moore to DH.)

Now you see I have Logan at SS. Cortland Lawson has been a good defensive player for us, but he is currently the weakest link of our batting lineup. Logan showed last year he can play and hit. I think Logan can be good enough on defense and gives us more at the plate.

Then we have Dickey or Scott. I really liked Scott's athleticism and he was good for us at the plate at key times this year. I may swing his way. But Dickey does have that power. I'd inner change them but I'm not leading them off. Dickey had a great non conference performance but has struggled since SEC play. Seth Stephenson is going to be a great player for us but his bat has slowed down and he constantly swings on first pitch for a quick out. Wants to power the ball but can't always get it to the fence. I'd still use him in base running situations late in games and of course bring him in if you need a spark.
