I feel like I could have a 30 minute conversation with any single poster on this board about Tennessee football in general and then turn around and write an article based on their comments. That article could be overwhelmingly positive or overwhelming negative depending on how I chose to slant it and what comments I included.
If Haney is citing anywhere between 13-20 anonymous sources in the building then he'd have to have spoken to most everyone in the building. That is just hard to believe. But assuming he did talk to everyone in the building then he'd likely have heard as many positive statements as negative statements.
I'm not a journalist but there seems to be a conflict when it appears that the writer walked into the door intent on promoting an agenda or slant. That is far different than telling a story as it is.
I have no doubt that there are some frustrations in the building. People are going to be held accountable for an underachieving season. That can be stressful. At the same time, I doubt that the entire picture is the dumpster fire that Haney presented.
Something just doesn't feel right.
