Most of this is a whole lot of captain obvious type stuff...
Callaway is a big-timer.
I like Jordan and Chandler. They're good backs.
Bumphus blocks his butt off and he needs to stay at TE, IMO. Our tackles need help and he provides that.
Tatum was surprisingly bad yesterday.
Ignont did not play well, IMO. He's clearly swimming right now. Showed almost no instincts on how to leverage the ballcarrier and blocker. I liked Reid's ability to scrape and find the football.
The walk-on safety, Harvin, can play. He's not starter good for us but he stuck out with the two's. He might be a guy that could play Star. Moves really well.
We played a true 3-4 vs 2 TEs and 1TE/1FB. We played 4-2-5 vs anything smaller. The Sam (Allen, Johnson, and Smith) would exit the game in favor of the Star (Shamburger and LaBruzza). The Jack (Taylor, Thaxton, Johnson) is an OLB in the 3-4 and a DE in the 4-2-5. Phillips would play DT in the 4-2-5 and DE in the 3-4. Kongbo played exclusively at DE. (This is starting to get an Old Testament feel to it)
Phillips played his tail off. Our whole DL needs to compete like he did yesterday.
I liked seeing us throw some in-cutting routes yesterday. We haven't thrown the ball in the middle of the field for 5 years...
Our inside linebackers actually took a pass drop yesterday. Haven't seen that since Shoop was hired.
We ran a few nice blitzes and like stunts yesterday. They were timed well and everyone appeared to know what gap to be in (also a lost art under Robert Shoop).
Pruitt coaches his ass off.
Pope looked good at FB and he's a good pass catcher from there. Could be a place where he can play a lot of football the next few years.
I could be wrong here but I think Buchanan is good enough to compete against the "non-elite" SEC WRs. That might seem like the most backhanded compliment ever... but he's clearly better than he was and seems good enough to compete.
Taylor needs to stay at CB unless we can land a grad transfer like Harvey.
Butler threw Ollie Lane on his head once. Nice to see from big 56. We need him to spell Phillips.
Carvin looked good. He needs a great off season and he could find himself starting this fall.
I only saw Latrell Williams catch one ball but wow he can go.
Jordan Allen is like Ignont. He's swimming... but when he knows where to go, it's easy to see the physical potential.
Dominick Wood-Anderson might be 1 and done if he's as good as advertised and we throw to the TE like we did yesterday.
Some good stuff from @DylanVol here discussing the OL http://gamedayonrockytop.com/post-spring-2018-heavily-dependent-ifs-two-key-positions-part/
