I never expected ton win SEC Championships or a National Championship when he was hired. I'm sure a large majority felt the same way I did...
He's honestly exceeded my expectations from the day he was hired.
With that said when he was hired I said if he could bridge the gap to the "next big coach" his regime would be a success.
This is where recruiting IMO will determine how long Butch stays here. If he finishes outside top 15 this year, and doesn't start strong next year, I'm firing him if he doesn't win the east next year.
We waited 1 year too long with Dooley and had to endure another crap recruiting class of his. We can't afford to have 2 average recruiting classes in a row.
There will still be a good amount of talent on this team that will make it very attractive to elite coaches.
