As a coach, I look at this team and still see the same glaring issues holding UT back that I've watched for last 15 years.
It begin and ends with QB play and the QB play honestly has not even been close to championship caliber.

Honestly, both lines of scrimmage have lacked true bonafide difference makers, with the exceptions of Barnett at end and T. Smith.
Absolutely no big time back to run the ball, although, Hurd and Kamara probably could have been special here , if not for coaching malpractice.

Depth behind starters has been atrocious over the last several years, poor player evaluations, terrible player development and to much attrition from the roster has constantly held the program back.
Head coaches have had many head stratching coaching decisions on and off the field.

Finally, as I see this team from a coaches view, there are many very good pieces in place to build a contending program, but it's not as close as some thought heading into the year and I'll admit I to thought this was a 6-4 or may be 7-3 if some breaks went there way.

Truly, to be Capt. Obvious, the QB play and absolute lack to little D-Line play has cost this team every bit of the momentum they had coming into this season and cost them a successful 2020 campaign.

As a fans view point it honestly looks like the wheels have completely fell off the train and it just honestly can't be describe any other way and that does reflect completely on the coach.

I still believe things are not as bad as they seem but Pruitt will have to win no less than 9 games next and that's just the reality of how hard the wind blows at the top of the flag pole, no more excuses, it's time to get this program back to where it should and can be IMHO.
