So I am good right now on my handguns, and I have an AR-15 and Ruger PC Charger (9mm PCC) for home defense and range fun. I've been thinking about picking up a hunting rifle for all around/general use, but not wanting a single shot bolt action. I found a Savage Model 99E chambered in .243 in excellent condition for $750.
I'm a big fan of traditional wood stocks, and I've read that these are some of the best lever action rifles ever made. Anyone have experience with this model?
And I'm a left handed firer - not sure if that is a NO GO
