I live out of state, but have had season tickets for years, the same seats that my Grandfather and father had. Probably about 80 years in the family.

I just got off the phone with UT and now understand that they way $2500 more a year for the same 4 seats, or $4800. There is no "consideration" given for the 75 years of loyalty, purchases and contributions.

As a businessman, I can't believe they think that this is a good strategy.

I'm curious, particularly to you guys in and around Knoxville, are folks just accepting this and paying the increases, or moving to the end zones, or just dropping their season tickets?

After 20 years of a crappy team this seems like a horrible customer retention program....and with the ability to scalp the games you want legally on Stub Hub and Vivid seats and/or watch all games on TV do they really think folks will pay this much for tickets (and more for better seats?). Now makes me think Danny White is not that sharp. Worries me.

Am I that out of touch? If I was betting I'd guess they will have lots of tickets being returned and a lot of old timers disappointed? But I haven't seen or heard much negative buzz here so maybe I'm clueless. But as much as I love the Vols I don't think these games are worth $200 a ticket.

Would love some local color. Thanks.
