With all this talk of re-alignment and the new normal in CFB, I propose the TWRI, a new league of teams trying to regain former glory.
Consideration criteria:
1. Multiple national or conference championships.
2. A high number of all-time wins
3. A Heisman winner
4. A high number of bowl appearances
5. A recent record of futility and disappointment
6. Still a lot of tv interest for the $
Initial bids (not in order):
Michigan
Tennessee
USC
Miami
Florida State
UCLA
Texas
Nebraska
8 game round robin schedule with 4 "non-conference" games. 1st and 2nd place automatic bids to expanded Natty.
Under consideration for expansion: Penn State, Auburn, BYU, Va Tech, Iowa, and Georgia, of course.
