1st let me say good win without Pons....imo we saw how important his rim protection was missed tonight. No way we win that game tonight playing the old style of two weeks ago and prior. Now on to a few things this team needs to do in order to go from a good team to a possible SECT champ and threat for a Final 4.....
Don't ever let Fulk take a fadeaway or refuse to go up strong and at least draw a foul from inside the charge line/ 2 foot circle. He was more active at times tonight but extremely passive on offense. Those 8+ ft fadeaways must stop. It's ok to go straight up or go to the rim but just stop being soft with the ball. Better game tonight though. Surprised at 2 fouls with Pons out the rim to protect but imo that's bc of KY and he refused to take himself out of the game by fouls
Take care of the ball if you have hands on it at all times. I think we saw tonight growing pains with TOs and this new style of play
Chew out Bailey and make him care about playing D.....if he does not want to ever drive the ball then sit him. He absolutely appears along for the ride out there thinking shooting 3s is his only job. How many times has Bailey driven the ball this year to the rim? Reminds me of Bowden but way worse and way way worse on D
As hard as it is when you're a running team on offense to do.....you must stop penetration on D. Let them shoot 3s off the dribble before you let them drive by you. That's what killed us vs Bama and almost got us tonight along with turnovers
