Alabama gets it. They unite around winning. Simple as that. Differences are insignificant when administrators unite around winning. Their football team increases national exposure on TV and, in turn, shines a light on the academic side as well. Dallas kids are going there in larger amounts each year.
Tennessee DOES NOT. We stumble, bumble and fumble around. We are not united to excellence and therefore differences are magnified.
I love the Vols and my alma mater but this is a snapshot of the last 15 years on campus after Dr. Joe Johnson left.
My frustration level is at defcon 1 or 5, whichever is the most elevated.
