Everyone knows that any program who is not a playoff contender in the SEC is treated as a 2nd class citizen by the SEC and Greg Sankey. The officiating crews are worse, there are less camera angles, officiating errors against 2nd class teams are not taken seriously, officials are look to call penalties against underdogs on the verge of upsetting playoff teams, and officials make sure not an egregious error against a playoff team (the Tyler Baron call would never in a million years be called if Alabama scooped and scored). The reason we still have terrible officiating crews in the SEC is it's ok to have bad officiating crews as long as the top crews calling the games for playoff teams are reasonably competent. Why do the 2nd class SEC schools accept this behavior from Sankey? The athletic directors of the 12 teams getting 2nd class treatment should unite and demand that Sankey treat them equally. They should demand more cameras, more accountability for bad officiating crews, more investment in officiating, new video review rules to fix errors that are currently "unreviewable", and less favoritism towards playoff schools in general. This isn't the Big 12 or Big 10. The bottom 12 SEC teams united have a lot of power. Why haven't those athletic directors united to push for better officiating and better treatment? Why are they ok with less and getting treated like an afterthought by Gregory?
